Sauvignon blanc was the first white grape variety Cakebread planted in 1972 adjacent to the winery, and it's still thriving there today.
The Sauvignon Blanc grapes are grown in the Napa Valley and the North Coast, including in Cakebread's own estate ranches in Carneros, Napa, Rutherford, and Calistoga.
